Designing a mobile experience for safer driving and better rest habits.
Context
Professional drivers operate in demanding, unpredictable environments.
Rest stops are short, attention is limited, and usability isn’t optional, it’s critical.
This project focused on creating a mobile experience that supports better rest habits and clearer reward understanding, helping drivers make safer decisions on the road.
The challenge
The interface had to work fast, under pressure, and with minimal cognitive load.
Drivers needed to:
quickly understand sleep data
clearly see how rewards worked
interact with the app in real-world conditions, not ideal ones
The challenge wasn’t feature depth.
It was clarity, speed, and trust.
The approach
The design process started from real context, not assumptions.
User interviews and field insights shaped the interaction model, focusing on:
immediate comprehension
reduced steps
clear visual hierarchy
The experience was designed for brief stops and fragmented moments, not for long, focused sessions.
My role
UX/UI Lead, responsible for defining user flows, interaction patterns, behavioral logic, accessibility standards, and layout strategy — from concept to validation.
Process
User interviews and context discovery
Pain-point mapping and behavioral analysis
Flow and interaction design
Responsive UI and accessibility refinement
Usability validation in real-use scenarios
Iterative improvements based on driver feedback
Solution
A clear, intuitive mobile interface that allows drivers to track sleep quality and understand reward mechanics at a glance.
The design emphasizes:
immediacy of action
visual clarity
low cognitive effort
Everything was built to support on-the-go use, without distraction or friction.
Result
The experience encouraged healthier rest habits and supported safer driving routines.
Beyond the screen, the interface helped reduce on-road risk and reinforced long-term driver wellbeing, showing how UX design can meaningfully influence behavior in real conditions.
